Baptists denounce prosperity gospel as 'false teaching' in resolution at annual meeting 

Southern Baptists adopted a resolution Tuesday rejecting the prosperity gospel, calling it false teaching and distortion of Scripture, particularly regarding Jesus Christ's atoning work on the Cross.
